Google worker plays with 250 pounds of Silly Putty
A product manager at Google, who works in the product management department, bought an 8th of a ton (113 kilos) of Silly Putty . . . and what did he do with it? Why he slapped it on top of his desk to show off to his friends and co-workers, of course. He also attempted to break the huge pile up to give to his bewildered friends . . . . unfortunately, he had not thought the feat through and found it quite difficult to break up the Putty chunks.
“The problem was that once together, Silly Putty doesn’t like to come apart, and none of us had any idea of how to deal with this effect. We tried everything: very strong people (didn’t work), scissors (stabbing worked, slicing didn’t), 28-gauge steel wire (broke), 22-gauge steel wire (broke), 16-gauge steel wire (too thick), and twisting and breaking (worked well for “smaller” pieces — under five pounds (2 kilos), that is.))”
Interesting indeed, the many ways the rich like to play . . . .
