An autopsy could shed some light on a bizarre death in Cameron County. Sheriff’s deputies showed up to a home in La Paloma over the weekend. Deputies were greeted by Jose Ramos, 37, who started a fight with them.

Ramos cut his head open during the scuffle. On the way to the hospital, he complained of shortness of breath and died. Newschannel 5 has learned Ramos might have been under the influence of cocaine and alcohol.
